New Scented Candle Line

A few years ago I dabbled in scented candles while I was offering teacup candles. I found that it was a matter of science and start up and took a step back because I don’t believe in doing something if it cant be done wholeheartedly. And so, here we are a few years later — I found that I now had the time and inspiration to learn and grow my ideas for a scented candle line!

After trials and errors I finally found my recipes and design and am proud and a fan of my first additions!!! You can find all of these in my Etsy Store!

Coast to Coast

Its always fun to find my candle in perfect little places. I know one is sitting on the shelf in the tattoo booth of Providence Tattoo in, where else, Providence RI and another all the way on the opposite coast in the legendary Temple Tattoo in Oakland CA. Lighting the night for spirits across the world<3

Death Salon LA… and beyond!

Death Salon

I think it’s safe to say that Death Salon LA was a great success. It certainly exceeded this organizer’s expectations. We started off early this year with just a corpse and a dream — to bring The Order of the Good Death members and other likeminded folk together to share ideas and get to know each other. Now I find that my mind is still reeling over the level of talent and artistry we had all in one place, the amount of amazing information conveyed in creative ways, and the potential collaborations that now loom on the horizon. It’s hard to distill everything that took place in one little weekend (and thanks to Aida Manduley I don’t have to try), but I did want to share a few thoughts about Death Salon LA and fill you all in on how we’re moving forward.

Caitlin Doughty is one of the few people I have encountered with a similar intellectual and humorous approach to death as myself, but with an obvious appreciation for all it means and encompasses. If you have somehow missed her hilarious Ask a Mortician vlog series, I advise you youtube them immediately.

““In the Middle Ages, in the Victorian Period, … cemeteries were places where commerce took place, and lovers walked through the graves to meet at night. You had this engagement with the cemetery as a community place, which we don’t really have anymore.””
